Job Summary:
As the IT Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all IT activities within the company. This includes managing the IT team, ensuring the successful implementation of IT projects, , aligning IT strategies with business goals and leveraging Group IT capabilities. You will play a key role in driving digital transformation and improving operational efficiency.

- FN Herstal Manufacturing locations in Herstal and Zutendaal
- Collaboration with Group IT to support other FN Browning Group entities for CyberSecurity, Infrastructure and Global Applications
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive IT strategies that align with the company's long-term business objectives. Ensure that IT initiatives support the overall goals of the organization and drive digital transformation.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of complex IT projects. Develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 20+ IT professionals. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment. Provide guidance and support to team members to help them achieve their professional goals.
- Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure successful project execution. Coordinate with internal teams, Group teams and external vendors to meet project requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues related to IT projects and operations. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with business stakeholders, ensuring that IT initiatives meet their needs and expectations. Provide regular updates on project status and IT performance.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to industry best practices and standards. Implement quality control measures to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT solutions.
- IT Governance: Establish and maintain staffing structures to support the Group IT Strategy and ensure proper relationships with external auditors. Review management processes and decisions for compliance with the organization's strategy for corporate governance of information.
- Information Management: Develop and communicate the organization's strategy for managing information. Ensure that data definitions are uniformly recognized and applied throughout the organization. Identify the impact of relevant regulations on the organization's use of information and develop strategies for compliance.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and manage contracts with suppliers to meet key performance indicators and agreed targets. Liaise with designated suppliers and manage supplier service improvement actions and programs.
- Collaborate with Group IT and support the globalization of IT Services: In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, it is essential to foster strong collaboration with Group IT and actively support the globalization of IT services across the organization. This involves coordinating with Group IT teams to unify processes, streamline service delivery, and ensure consistency in technological standards worldwide.
Major running initiatives :
- Core applications renewal within NeoSI transformation program (SAP S/4HANA implementation) and related Maintenance and Operations transition.
- IT components of a business project driven by a major contract (Manufacturing capacity extension, new services)
- Compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations (ISO27001, NIS2, IEC62443)
- Changes to IT toward a global service-oriented IT operating model
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in IT management, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing context.
- Strong skills in project management and resource coordination.
- In-depth knowledge of IT service management and applications.
- Ability to understand and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment with local/global capabilities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Project management certification (PMP, Prince2, etc.) is an asset.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management.
- Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of the industrial/manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus (e.g., French, English, Dutch).
